Why we’re raising now
Castor is already being grown in Ghana. Farmers have land. The opportunity exists. Markets exist.
But without local processing infrastructure, much of the value created from African raw materials leaves Africa before the real value is captured.
Castorvia is now working to build the first stage of that processing infrastructure. The next step is machinery.
The purpose of the £30,000 campaign is to move Castorvia from opportunity and planning into physical processing capability.

My name is Kayode Ewuoso, and for the past three and a half years, Ghana has been home.
I came to Ghana with my young family seeking something deeper than simply a change of location. We were looking for belonging, a sense of home, and an opportunity to use our energy and experience to contribute to the future of Africa.
The journey hasn’t always been easy.
We’ve experienced our share of setbacks, uncertainty and difficult seasons. But through every high and every low, my family and I have refused to give up.
Because I believe Africa has an extraordinary future.
I believe that future will be built by Africans at home and across the diaspora who are willing to put their ideas, resources, relationships and energy into creating something tangible.
I don’t claim to have all the answers, and I don’t believe one person can change a continent.
But I believe every one of us can do our small part.
For me, that means building.
- Building businesses.
- Building value chains.
- Creating opportunities.
- Connecting people.
And helping create an environment where African land, resources and talent can generate more value here in Africa, rather than being exported before the real value is created.
Castorvia is one part of that vision.
But the bigger vision extends far beyond castor.
I’m building a team of Diasporans, expatriates and Ghanaians who share the belief that Africa’s future is worth building and that we can achieve far more when we work together.
I’m British-Nigerian. I’m building in Ghana. But the vision is African.
This is my small contribution.
